For three years, Eric Adams has been a corrupt mayor who has put his interests ahead of the city. But in the past week, Adams's actions have led New York City to a true crisis in leadership. In light of his capitulation to the Trump Administration and the resignation of four of his top deputies, it is clear that Eric Adams cannot remain the Mayor of New York City. It has been reported that Governor Kathy Hochul is considering whether or not to use her authority as governor to remove Adams as mayor of New York City. As a lifelong New Yorker, I urge Governor Hochul to take this step. If you're with me, will you sign our petition asking Governor Hochul to officially remove Eric Adams from the NYC mayor's office? On Monday, four deputy mayors—public servants who are responsible for almost all the functions of city government—resigned, marking an unprecedented collapse at City Hall. Adams is compromised by the Trump Justice Department's leverage to withdraw or pursue corruption charges against him. In turn, he has shown himself to be willing to use his authority as mayor to carry out President Trump's agenda of mass deportations and federal overreach. Adams is not governing or working for New Yorkers; he is solely focused on his political survival. Governor Hochul has an obligation to protect this city, this state, and by extension, this country. The more public support we have, the better chance she'll act and remove Adams. Will you add your name to our petition today? The stakes and risks are too high for this to continue any longer. We need to remove Eric Adams now. — Scott | | | | |
