Howard Lutnick, Trump's billionaire buddy turned commerce secretary, has confirmed that the administration was simply lying about not touching Social Security and Medicare.
FIRST: Trump claimed he wouldn't touch Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid.
THEN: Just one week later he endorsed House Republicans' budget plan, which is expected to make an $880 billion cut to Medicaid to pay for tax cuts for the rich.
NOW: Trump's commerce secretary is openly admitting that they want to make a trillion dollar cut to these critical programs.
They aren't even trying to hide it anymore. They are actively trying to take away hard earned benefits from millions of Americans in order to enrich themselves.
