Since then, Trump has given Elon Musk, an unelected billionaire bureaucrat, and his minions at DOGE unfettered access to virtually all aspects of the federal government. Musk has already used his power to fire anyone who stands in the way of his own interests.
We will not stand by while this un-American billionaire oligarch tries to assert his will over us. We will determine our future, not Elon. That's why we're launching a petition to build a lasting grassroots movement to oppose this unprecedented use of power.
In times like these it's up to us to stand up for the American people and build a firewall against right-wing extremism.
Their goal is to overwhelm us, whether it's illegally firing dedicated public servants, whether it's renaming the Gulf of Mexico, whether it's threatening to take over Canada and Greenland, it's all to divert attention away from their main goal, which is giving their billionaire buddies a tax break while making the average American pay for it.
They want us to be overwhelmed. They want us to be confused. They want us to give up.
