Jim Costa here. I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself and why this race is going to be one of the most important races in the country next year.
I was born in Fresno to a family of immigrants. My grandparents came here from the Azores Islands of Portugal in pursuit of the American Dream. They started as dairy workers and finally, after saving up enough money, established their own dairy farm.
Growing up on our family farm, I learned firsthand the meaning of hard work and responsibility. I carried those values with me through my time at Fresno State and still hold onto them today as I farm in the San Joaquin Valley.
After serving in the California State Legislature, I had the honor of being elected to represent the San Joaquin Valley in the U.S. Congress. Nothing is more important to me than ensuring a strong future for our country. But I need your support.
