Hi Jason, Today is International Women's Day, and I've been thinking about the women who shaped my life. I was raised by a single mom and a grandmother who worked as a blackjack dealer. My grandmother used her tip money to help buy my school clothes and put me through college. They taught me resilience, independence, and what it means to fight for what's right – even when it's hard.
Their strength is the reason I stepped up to run for office. In the State House, I fought to fully fund our public schools, protect reproductive freedom, lower costs for families, and expand opportunity for women and girls across Colorado. And I'm proud to be endorsed by EMILYs List and Elect Democratic Women, two organizations that support women leaders who are ready to fight and win. But we know progress is not guaranteed. Across the country, extremists are trying to roll back reproductive rights, undermine economic security, and silence women's voices. This International Women's Day, I'm committed to making sure Colorado sends a woman to Congress who will stand up, speak out, and deliver results. If you believe in electing strong Democratic women and flipping this seat, will you chip in $10 or whatever you can today?
Thank you for being part of this fight. Shannon
