Congresswoman Nikema Williams here with important news: I'm officially running for re-election to represent Georgia's Fighting Fifth in Congress!

I'll be honest, Jason: Our democracy is on the ballot this November — and if Republicans keep control of the House, there's no telling what they'll let Trump get away with next. We cannot give them an inch.

We need to be ready to fight back against every attack on our communities and our democracy. My team is crunching the numbers and we NEED to raise $10,000 THIS WEEK to hit our big launch goal. Our democracy only works when everyone has a real voice — but right now it's under attack. Trump and Republicans are trying to manipulate elections, intimidate election workers, and take power away from the people — especially in communities like ours. If we don't fight back and win this November, they could succeed.

I've been fighting for GA-05 every single day — delivering millions in funding for infrastructure, HBCUs, and our communities. And when Republicans cut billions from Medicaid and still refused to extend healthcare premiums for more than 20 million Americans, I stood firm and voted to protect access to affordable healthcare.

But the fight is far from over. Election Day is coming faster than we know it, and if we're not ready to defeat Republicans here in Georgia and across the country, we'll lose our chance to defend our democracy and protect our communities.
