A new report just confirmed what too many Alaskans are already feeling: Dan Sullivan’s healthcare record is hurting our state.

Because of his votes, 27,000 Alaskans are now facing higher health care costs — and thousands have been priced out of coverage altogether.

Sullivan blocked efforts to extend critical ACA subsidies. When those expired, premiums skyrocketed. Some middle-income families have seen their monthly costs quadruple.

Sullivan also voted to cut more than $1 trillion from Medicaid — a program that nearly one-third of Alaskans rely on. Hospitals have called those cuts devastating. Legislative leaders have warned Alaska simply can’t absorb them.

I’ll say it plainly: Dan Sullivan has proven he will put insurance companies and special interests ahead of Alaskans every single time.

He’s voted to raise costs on his own constituents.
He’s gutted programs families depend on.
And he’s made it harder for Alaskans to get the care they need to stay healthy.

Meanwhile, families across our state are being forced to make impossible choices — between groceries and prescriptions, between rent and a doctor’s visit.

That’s not leadership. That’s failure.
