| Jason, I want to take a moment to say thank you. When I decided to get into this race, I knew it wouldn't be easy. My wife Diane and I talked about it a lot. We're not wealthy people. We can't write ourselves a check and call it a campaign. What we can do is show up, work hard, and trust that people who care about Alaska will have our backs. You had our backs. In just over two months, we've raised over $780,000! More than 4,500 people chipped in to this campaign, including Alaskans in more than 60 communities, from Akiak to Anchorage to Kotzebue to Kodiak to Haines to Homer. Our total is not just a fundraising stat. It's a statement. It means this campaign is real. It means people believe that Alaska's one seat in Congress should answer to working people, not billionaires and corporate interests. It means we have the resources to keep building, keep organizing, and keep making the case. I grew up in a village of 140 people. I've spent my life fishing, building things, and teaching kids in some of the most remote communities in this country. I didn't get into this race because it was the easy thing to do. I got in because I couldn't stay on the sidelines. Neither could you. And that means everything. Thank you for being part of this. — Bill |
