Our public spaces are under siege

Folks, our nation's public parks, libraries, arts organizations, and museums are beloved parts of our communities and society.

But that hasn’t stopped the Trump administration from threatening or harming them.

These spaces are under siege. They are hurt by deep funding cuts, the loss or bullying of public employees and, in some cases, by threats of extinction.

Why would any politician – especially one as desperate for approval as Donald Trump – go after such cherished parts of America?

Take away public parks, free access to books and support for the arts, and you end up with a less free, more ignorant and less engaged public. That’s a public much more easily manipulated.

This is what Trump and his cronies are counting on.

Trump wants to divide us and he plans to do that by destroying the public spaces that serve to unite us. We must remain united against Trump’s power grab. We can’t let them win. Will add your name and join us in standing up for these vital public institutions?

Thank you,

Forward Blue
