Folks, over the weekend Donald Trump ignited a war with Iran, but we refuse to sit back and do nothing while Trump plunges us into another endless war in the Middle East.
It’s been just over 48 hours and this reckless military escalation has already taken the lives of three U.S. servicemembers and threatens to spiral into a wider regional catastrophe.
Donald Trump does not have the authority to send more working class Americans to fight in Iran. The Constitution is clear: Congress, not the president acting alone, has the power to declare war.
That’s why we are urging every supporter to stand behind Tim Kaine and his War Powers Resolution to prevent unauthorized U.S. military action against Iran.
Senator Kaine’s resolution would:
– Reassert Congress’s constitutional authority over war powers.
– Require explicit authorization from Congress before further military escalation.
– Put a check on reckless, unilateral decisions that could drag us into another endless war.
This is about accountability. It’s about preventing another Iraq. It’s about ensuring that no president, Republican or Democrat, can unilaterally plunge our country into war.
