Too many Americans have gone to fight in the forever wars that cost trillions of dollars, took countless lives, and drained resources from the urgent needs here at home.
Yesterday, Donald Trump chose to drag us into another potentially endless conflict.
Americans want affordable health care. They want good-paying jobs, accessible housing, and groceries that don't break the bank. They want safe communities and a fair, functioning democracy.
They do not want another endless war waged without accountability.
The Constitution is clear: Only Congress has the power to declare war. No president — including Donald Trump — should be able to launch the United States into another prolonged military conflict without debate, oversight, and a vote.
That's why we are demanding that Congress immediately pass Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie's War Powers Resolution.
Every single member of Congress has a responsibility to reject this aimless war. We, as the American people, must demand transparency and accountability. We are watching, and we will remember the leaders who choose to stand up to this executive overreach come November.
We will continue to stand up to authoritarianism and fight for a future where our resources are invested in the people, not devastating conflicts that only serve the elite. We hope you will stand with us.
