Hi there, Jason! My name is Denise Powell, and I'm the Democrat running to flip Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District. This is a highly competitive race that was decided by less than 2 percent in 2024.

Here's what you should know about me: I'm a mom to two kids (and a dog!), a small business owner, and an active community leader.
After Donald Trump was elected, I worked to organize our community around electing everyday, common-sense candidates up and down the ballot through the organization I co-founded, Women Who Run.
But our neighbors are struggling to make ends meet right now, and there's no relief in sight. MAGA Republicans are causing costs to skyrocket, and we're all feeling the pain at the grocery store, gas station, and everywhere else.
They're tearing apart the Department of Education, slashing critical federal programs, gutting Medicaid and food assistance, and making it harder for seniors to access their Social Security…all to create more tax loopholes for billionaires. I'm running for Congress now because enough is enough!
