I’m the Democratic congresswoman representing NY-04 on Long Island, a former Hempstead Town Supervisor where I managed a nearly $500 million budget, took on corruption and lowered taxes in a town that had not elected a Democrat in over a century. I won my seat in 2024 by 2 points. Now Republicans are spending $18.6 million on ads in New York because they think they can take it back. The GOP has hand-picked their candidate to run against me and she’s already angling for Trump’s endorsement and expects to land on the MAGA Majority List. But I’ve taken on powerful people before and I’m not backing down. This seat is one of the ones that decides whether Democrats take back the House majority. Holding it means real oversight of this administration. Losing it makes the path to the majority a lot harder.
