Jason, Congresswoman Nikema is on the air calling out Georgia Republicans for trying to rig our maps and steal representation from Georgia voters.
Governor Kemp just called a special session for June 17 to redraw congressional, state House, and state Senate districts — even though these maps were redrawn just two years ago after a court ruled the old lines unfairly diluted Black representation.
Georgia families are already struggling with housing costs, gas prices, and grocery bills. Republicans never seem able to move this fast on those issues. But when Donald Trump wants new rigged maps to protect his party's razor-thin majority in Congress? Suddenly they can rush a special session.
We don't yet know what maps Republicans will try to push through — which means we need to be ready before June 17.
We set a goal to raise $8,000 for our Protect the Black Vote Fund to fuel rapid response organizing, voter outreach, and legal fight-back efforts. Will you chip in $10 right now to help us hit our goal before Republicans get to work?
