Jason, Alaskans are bearing the brunt of the effects of climate change, with record-low temperatures affecting households across the state this winter season. Gas supplies in Alaska are running dangerously low, and these colder temperatures mean higher strain on our gas supply which Alaskans depend on to heat their homes and feed their families. Alaska families should not have to turn their thermostats down, forgo washing their clothes, and stop themselves from using their stoves during the winter season when they're needed the most. It's never been more important to advocate for responsible resource development and to simultaneously invest in clean and renewable energy sources –from tidal power to wind power— to help ensure Alaska homes are fully powered year-round. Will you chip in anything you can to help us elect Democrats across the state who will fight to build a cleaner and greener future for our great state to combat climate change, create more jobs, and meet the needs of ALL Alaskans? |
