Hi Jason, On March 17th – in 30 days – Illinois 8th will vote for their Democratic candidate in our primary. My opponents include four candidates who are coordinating with dark money, special interests – they all have red boxes on their sites. This is an unethical and illegal practice where campaigns publish messaging and send instructions to supportive super PACs about what material they should use in their ads, how they should send that material out, and even what categories of voters to target. This is just WRONG. Politicians must answer to their constituents, not wealthy special interests. When outside groups can spend unlimited amounts of money on elections, this opens the door to corruption and gives undue power to deep-pocketed interests looking to sway votes. One of the candidates, a former Congresswoman from twenty years ago, has been brought back into the race by AIPAC money, dark AI money. When she was last in office, she voted for big banks and billionaires and against workers, unions, and our families. An establishment Democratic, she'll do it again. $2 million of dark money has been funneled into her campaign through AIPAC, "Think Big" the AI PAC linked to Leading the Future and the OpenAI family, the Horowitz's, and Elect Chicago Women (financially backed by AIPAC). Let's be clear, this isn't about fundraising. |

The good news is that our internal polling, showing us at #2, says we are only 3 points behind her, which means – we CAN WIN this election AND beat the Republican candidate in the general election. The Chicago Tribune, which has a longstanding relationship with Melissa and endorsed her, recognized me as their number two candidate. I have not taken a single cent from dark money, special interests, or corporate PACs. That's the same ethical standards I will bring to Congress. Our campaign hasn't raised the most money, but through strict budgeting, an eye for quality over quantity, and with spending time with voters – not donors alone – I have been able to rise to the #2 spot. This is the same mindset I will bring to Congress: ✅Balance the budget, while helping those who most need it ✅Recognize bills we can slip line items into to help IL-08 small businesses, families, and seniors ✅Focus on constituents, NOT lobbyists If you want to STOP AIPAC and all dark money, restore trust in this election, and keep has-Bean politicians out of IL-08, please donate $30 for 30 days left. You can help us reach hundreds more voters every day. |

Let's restore honesty, integrity, and strength in our district and beyond, and we can start by keeping dark money OUT of Congress. |
My priorities in supporting Our Commonsense Movement include: ✅ Making life more affordable and expanding the American Dream. ✅ Making smart investments in people, learning, infrastructure, renewable energy, and innovation. ✅ Growing our economy without chaotic policies and tariffs. ✅ Protecting the programs working families rely on. ✅ Improving Medicare so that everyone can live and age with dignity. ✅ Passing pro-immigration reform to ensure legal and faster pathways to visas, green cards, and citizenship. ✅ Focusing on people and communities — not divisive, autocratic politics. ✅ Passing campaign finance reform and term limits for the House, Senate, and Supreme Court, as well as strengthening voting rights. ✅ Building a future that's stable and hopeful for all Americans. |
