Let’s talk about stock trading

Public office is supposed to be about service – not self-enrichment. No one should go to Washington and come back wealthier because they gamed the system.

 

Hi Jason, I want to talk about something that shouldn't be controversial, but somehow still is. Members of Congress should not be able to get rich off insider knowledge. Do you agree? YES NO When lawmakers sit in classified briefings… When they learn about major economic shifts before the public does… When they help write the very laws that move markets… They should not be trading stocks based on that information! But right now, they can. And that's wrong! Public office is supposed to be about service – not self-enrichment. No one should go to Washington and come back wealthier because they gamed the system. That's why I support a full ban on individual stock trading for members of Congress. Do you agree that it's time to end congressional stock trading and bring real accountability to Washington?
