As a lifelong civil servant in the Department of Justice, I served our nation and defended the rule of law for nearly 30 years under Democratic and Republican presidents. It was only 10 days into Donald Trump's presidency when he fired me as acting Attorney General for refusing to enforce his unlawful agenda.
I have always stood up for what's right, especially when it's hard. And I've always stood up to defend our democracy in my home state of Georgia and across the country.
