I have made it clear that I believe U.S. tax dollars should be invested in improving lives here at home, not ending innocent lives overseas. It's what I hear every single day in the Central Valley — from families struggling to stay healthy and see doctors, from parents who can't afford rent and worry about their kids breathing clean air. Our people are being pushed to the brink, and our priority has to be here at home. The vast majority of the people I meet are sickened that the pro-Israel lobby would parachute in and try to buy the Central Valley to put their issues ahead of ours. Even our opponent, who was endorsed by DMFI, won't list their endorsement on her website out of fear of blowback. When she was publicly asked whether what is happening in Gaza constitutes a genocide, she said yes. Then when the money came calling, she reversed, claiming she "misheard the question." In a district where Latino and working class families are watching their tax dollars fund a conflict they overwhelmingly oppose, that kind of answer isn't good enough. Bowing to special interests isn't good enough. We deserve better. And with ballots already in voters' hands and June 2nd approaching fast, DMFI's half million dollars means every dollar we raise in response matters more than ever. Please chip in $3 to help us close this gap, fight back against the pro-Israel lobby, and send an unbought Democrat to Congress — one this Valley can be proud of.Randy |
