Yep. That’s how we feel when Emerge women win. We know you feel the same.
And this email is to celebrate the hard work and victories of Emerge alums across the country who advanced to the general election this month, including:
🍁First-time candidate Amanda Janoo, who won her primary for Vermont Governor, seeking to flip the governor’s mansion red to blue, and Molly Gray, who won her primary for Vermont’s Lieutenant Governor. If elected, the pair would be the first all-Emerge governor and lieutenant governor in history.
🎸La Sonya Hall, who beat 10 other candidates to win her primary for Shelby County, Tennessee Clerk as a first-time candidate.
🧀Jenna Jacobson, a Wisconsin State Representative running for higher office to flip a state senate seat, a seat critical to flipping the Senate chamber blue for the first time in a decade.
📜Connecticut State Representative Maryam Khan, who won a contested state senate primary running for higher office.
🐺Michigan State Representative Natalie Price, running for an open state senate seat, and Lisa McIntyre, a first-time candidate running to fill an open state house seat, who won their primaries.
🌲First-time candidate Jaelynn Scott, running for state house, who would be the first out transgender person to serve in the Washington legislature if she wins in November.
⚔ Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney Shannon Taylor, who won her hotly contested primary for Virginia’s 1st Congressional District, to flip the seat from red to blue in November.
🦡JoCasta Zamarripa, a second-term Alderperson and former State Representative, who stepped up to run for Wisconsin Secretary of State to protect the vacancy of Emerge alum Sarah Godlewski, the Democratic nominee for Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor. |

Emerge alums lift as we climb! We can’t wait to share more Emerge women’s victories soon.
