A competitive race in Lewiston that needs our help

You know the theory of our movement: federal action on gun safety isn’t coming, and the most effective way to save the most lives is to pass legislation at the state level to keep our communities safe.

That mission involves electing folks up and down the ballot who share our values and commitment to saving lives, so they can sponsor and support commonsense legislation when they get to office.

One of our Gun Safety Champions this November is Shanna Cox, running to represent Lewiston in our State Senate.

Lewiston has seen an increase in gun violence this year, especially among teenagers. The Lewiston community deserves a leader with a clear commitment to address this escalating violence with evidence-based practices and policies, protect kids and teenagers, and make the community safer for everybody.

Shanna is that leader, and it’s why we’re so energized to support her election. We have a plan, but we need support for our political program. Would you make a contribution right now to help us do that?

Shanna understands that everyone deserves to feel safe in their homes and community, and that the problems of violence that Lewiston residents are facing right now can be linked to a shortage of laws that adequately address the realities in that community.

Shanna Cox is the best person to represent Lewiston and fight for responsible gun policy that reduces crime and saves lives.

But Shanna is locked in one of the most competitive races in the state and there’s a real chance she could lose in November without support. Would you make a contribution right now to help us get Gun Safety Champion Shanna Cox to Augusta?
