Jason, I know we’ve been reaching out a lot, but I need to be upfront about why:
September 7th marks one of our biggest fundraising deadlines of the general election, and we set an ambitious goal of raising $100,000 to make sure we have the resources to win this race.
Republicans have already poured in millions to flip this seat, and the latest polling makes clear that we can’t take anything for granted. The Albuquerque Journal called our margin “closer-than-expected.” My Republican opponent is already pointing to that poll as proof that this is a competitive race he can win. That’s why I’m asking: Will you make a split contribution of $5 or any amount between Democratic Values and my campaign to help us reach our $100,000 goal before September 7th? Every dollar helps us reach more voters, compete with Republican spending, and defend our lead.
Jason, this deadline isn’t just about hitting a number. It’s about what we’re able to do in the final eight weeks of this race, and what’s at stake for New Mexico if we come up short.
I’m running for Governor to put money back in New Mexicans’ pockets, make sure our kids get the education they deserve, protect access to affordable healthcare in every community, and make New Mexico a place where families can get ahead.
My Republican opponent has a very different vision. He’s ready to cut Medicaid, SNAP, and the critical programs New Mexicans depend on.
We can’t let that happen.
That’s why this deadline matters so much. Every dollar we raise now gives us more resources to knock doors, organize communities, keep our message on the air, and reach the voters who will decide this election.
