Jason,
I’ve always believed that when something is broken, something has to be done to fix it. You don’t wait for someone else to do it, even if it’s a difficult or dirty job. Right now, it is clear that Washington politics and its way of doing things are broken.
I’ve spent my life outside of partisan politics, whether in the military or as a veterinarian in Southeast Kansas. The people I interact with just want to be able to support their families, live their lives, and have a functioning government. They are tired of the self-serving and career politicians who keep making things worse.
I want to serve my country again, help straighten things out in Washington, and then get back to my life. That’s how it should be.
Here’s the challenge: I’m running against Republican incumbent Derek Schmidt, who’s been in politics for the last 25 years and is bankrolled with special-interest Washington money. But we can flip this seat: when Schmidt ran for Governor in the last midterm election, he lost statewide and in this congressional district.
That’s why your support now will make the difference and help us pull this off. Will you give any amount today to help us keep building the groundwork for victory? |
Thank you for being part of the fight,
Don Coover |
