Four years ago today, the Supreme Court took a sledgehammer to fifty years of precedent and ripped away the constitutional right to abortion.
They said it was about returning the issue to the states. What it actually did was open the floodgates — and women across this country have been drowning ever since.

I spent more than a decade at Planned Parenthood Southeast before I ever set foot on the House floor. I sat with patients who drove six hours for an appointment. I watched people drain their savings, lie to their bosses, leave their kids with neighbors — just to access healthcare they had every legal right to.
That was BEFORE Dobbs.
Now those same barriers are taller, the distances longer, and the stakes higher. Abortion bans across Georgia and the South aren't just inconvenient — they are putting people's lives at risk. And Republicans haven't stopped at abortion. They've come for birth control. Emergency contraception. IVF. Miscarriage care.
Let's be honest about what this is: It is a coordinated campaign to control women's bodies and take away our power to make decisions about our own lives and health.
