This November, we’ll be facing our hand-picked MAGA opponent, Peter Oberacker, in one of the most consequential races this year.
When we say "hand-picked," we don’t mean by the people of this district but by Donald Trump and Mike Johnson. His record is exactly why they’ve chosen him to run, and why now, more than ever, we need to be ready to defeat him and hold onto this Democratic seat in November. Oberacker:
➡️ Voted against measures that would’ve lowered energy costs for Upstate New Yorkers while accepting money from a foreign-owned electric monopoly that controls your rates.
➡️ He almost hired an extremist campaign manager who, as Politico revealed, participated in a group chat with Republicans using racist, antisemitic, and homophobic slurs.
➡️ He started his campaign with a lie, falsely claiming that he was born and raised in Upstate New York.
Peter Oberacker swore allegiance to Donald Trump, which is exactly why he’s MAGA’s hand-picked candidate. But Upstate New Yorkers should be the ones choosing who represents them in Congress.
