Jason , this is Mary Trump.
I just sat down with Anderson Cooper, and if you missed it, here’s what I told him:
Donald and his children have always accrued their wealth by rigging the system in their favor. What troubles me most isn’t the corruption itself, but how many people are still willing to look away, or even help it along.
Let’s be plain about what’s actually happening:
My uncle is willing to take money from virtually any foreign entity, no matter how hostile it might be to American interests. Whether it’s a billion dollars from cryptocurrency or a $400 million jumbo jet from Qatar, Donald has made it clear that he’s for sale, and that his personal interests come before our country’s.
We tend to forget that when Donald was indicted for stealing classified documents from the federal government, his case never went to trial because it landed before Aileen Cannon, a corrupt, loyalist judge he appointed.
None of this is new. Donald was never the self‑made businessman the tabloids spent decades pretending he was. His fortune was inherited, and now his children are running the same playbook—raking in tens of millions by leveraging the power and influence of the presidency.

Grateful to have you with me,
Mary
P.S. Jason :
I’m grateful to Anderson for taking the time to speak with me. We’re facing an unprecedented flood of dark money and billionaires buying their way into our politics, which makes honest journalism more important than ever.
I’ll also say this: Anderson has faced years of attacks from my uncle over his sexuality. Donald has even nicknamed him “Allison Cooper.” It’s the same instinct that activates all of his late‑night temper tantrums: attack anyone who tells the truth about him.
