| Jason, Earlier this month, I joined the Philadelphia community and members of No ICE Philly at City Hall to remember and pay tribute to Renee Nicole Good, who was murdered by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in Minneapolis. |
| Renee's life should not have ended this way. Her death has sparked outrage and protest across the country because what happened to her is unacceptable. At the tribute, the grief was real, but so was the resolve. In the face of shock and sorrow, Philly's voices were louder than ever. We stood together and made it clear: ICE does not make us safer — it terrorizes our communities and operates without accountability. I stood there because I believe this is a moment that demands courage, honesty, and action. We cannot allow masked federal agents with no oversight to wield deadly force in our neighborhoods. We cannot normalize violence from a government agency that was never meant to operate this way. And we cannot be silent when a mother is gunned down by those sworn to enforce the law. ICE must be abolished. None of this is normal. None of this should ever be accepted. That night, we honored Renee's life. Today we continue the fight for justice, for accountability, and for the safety of all our communities. In solidarity, Pablo McConnie-Saad P.S.: If you want to join me in this battle, can you chip in to my campaign to help us take this fight to Congress? |
