As Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem has shown a disturbing pattern of ruthless incompetence and disregard for the law.
Instead of focusing on arresting criminals, ICE has snatched American citizens off the street, violated due process, brushed off oversight from Congress, and defied the courts. Her actions have resulted in people dying, families torn apart, and made our communities less safe.
Now she is planning to bring the same chaos and cruelty she's wrought in Minnesota right next door to us in Maine. This policy of retribution and terror must end. | Noem's failures do not stop at immigration.
While overseeing FEMA, Noem imposed political control and personal sign-off requirements that delayed disaster response during the deadly Texas floods. As a result, FEMA hotlines failed. Aid was slowed. Families were left waiting when every minute counted. That is not leadership; that is negligence.
Kristi Noem is unfit to lead the Department of Homeland Security. Her incompetence and unchecked actions have serious consequences for human life.
