 | | Jason, recently, ICE murdered Renee Good in Minneapolis. They've detained U.S. citizens without evidence or a trial. This is not about securing the border, it's putting fear into communities through dangerous militarization. Now the Trump administration is saying that they want to swarm Arizona with ICE agents. Threats like this break trust in real law enforcement officers who serve our communities daily. We cannot let these unchecked, untrained agents continue to wreak havoc across the country. We must do everything we can to stop this and to ACTUALLY protect our communities here in Arizona. Congress can put checks on ICE. It controls the funding of ICE, and could immediately slow down operations by decreasing funding. They choose not to act. The Republican-controlled Congress is complicit in these violations. We need an independent investigation into the shooting, to stop the chaos before more lives are lost. In Congress, I will fight to bring real accountability to ICE and the Trump Administration. We have to stand up now and show that we won't allow masked people to come into Arizona and commit crimes. Renee Good should be with us today, but because she isn't we must fight to bring justice to all those responsible for her killing. — Jonathan Treble Each day there are more reports of ICE misconduct.
