The Republican debate in NY-21 was supposed to help voters understand who is ready to lead.
Instead, it became another example of what people are tired of in politics. |
Anthony Constantino and Robert Smullen spent much of the debate attacking each other personally, arguing about Donald Trump, questioning one another’s character, and reliving months of political infighting.
At one point, one candidate called the other “a coward.” Another called his opponent “unfit for office.”
While all of this was happening, there was very little discussion about the actual people they want to represent.
That contrast could not be clearer.
Blake is a dairy farmer. He knows what it means to wake up early, solve problems, work through difficult seasons, and stay accountable to the people around him.
He’s not running to fuel division or political chaos. He’s running because NY-21 deserves leadership that listens more than it attacks.
The North Country deserves someone focused on lowering costs, protecting rural healthcare, supporting farms and small businesses, and rebuilding trust between communities and Washington.
Not another politician chasing headlines.
