Last week, Donald Trump’s Supreme Court ruled to open the floodgates for more big money to pour into our elections. Now, billionaires and heavyweight donors will have even greater influence in our politics, while the voices of ordinary Americans get pushed out. |
This is the same Supreme Court that just gutted the Voting Rights Act – allowing Republicans to gerrymander maps to dilute Black voices and drag us back to the dark and ugly days of Jim Crow. Meanwhile, Trump’s allies in Congress are working to pass the SAVE Act, which is nothing more than a voter suppression bill. |
Our democracy is on fire, friend, and I’m deeply angry about it. And I know you are, too. I believe that the answer to those who are attacking our democracy is to fight back with more democracy – to raise our voices louder than ever. |
That’s why I’m asking for your help to send a clear message to Donald Trump and his allies that we will not sit back and let ourselves get squeezed out of our democracy. We will fight back with everything we have. Can I count on you? |
