Breaking news, Jason: The federal government is overturning the 21-year minimum age requirement to purchase handguns.
There is no part of the federal government that is coming to save us from gun violence. In fact, the federal government is actively making us less safe.
The only way to counteract this decision is with action at the state level – which is why it’s so extremely critical for us to elect gun safety champions to Augusta. Without them, Mainers have to live with this federal government ruling, despite clear evidence that more of our young people will die because of it.
