David Valadao is in his sixth term in Congress. He and his allied super PACs have reserved roughly $14.3 million in ads to hold onto his seat. Randy Villegas is a community college professor and auto shop owner who refuses to take a single dollar of corporate PAC money.
That’s why Leaders We Deserve couldn’t be prouder to have supported Randy through his primary and to help him flip this seat blue in November.
Despite being vastly outspent, Randy is currently holding a narrow 48 to 44 lead!
This is proof that the character of our candidates and the grassroots power they inspire matters more than a corporate check, but the fact is massive sums of outside money can swing this race. That's just the reality — and we need to keep Randy competitive.
Randy’s end-of-quarter FEC deadline is on September 30th, and everything his campaign raises before that report goes public will determine if Randy's grassroots campaign can go the distance.
So I'm personally asking: Jason, will you chip in $3 before September 30th to help Randy close the ad gap and keep his message in front of voters before ballots hit mailboxes?
